Mr. Mukund Chitale is Managing Partner of Mukund M. Chitale & Co. He has more than 40 years of experience in advising companies on their business, financial & strategic matters.

Mr. Chitale is currently the Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (NACAS), constituted by the Government of India. NACAS is the country’s highest standard setting body, which recommends new / modifications in accounting standards to the Government.

Mr. Chitale was the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) during 1997-98; and a member of Central Council of ICAI during 1985-1998. He was Chairman of Western India Regional Council of ICAI during 1984-85. He was a member of The International Auditing Practices Committee of the International Federation of Accountants from January 1998 to June 2000.

Mr. Chitale is presently serving on a number of Boards of Companies as Independent Director and also serving on various committees set up by Reserve Bank of India.
